The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival is just 1 day ahead, opening on the 1st of April until the 9th of April 2011. Its a space that exists between various worlds: between narration and experimentation, between artist and trend, between North and South, between East and West, between image and word, between fiction and non-fiction.
Through its permanent sections (Official, Informative, The Freakiest Night, the Canary Islands Forum and Déjà Vu), the festival explores the latest in film as an aesthetic art form. The programm is based on three principles: diversity of proposals, aesthetic risk-taking and coherence. Every year the competition is therefore a setting where the uniqueness of details (each film itself) and the unity of the whole (the dialogue between them) can be appreciated.
As usually the films will be shown at Multicines Monopol and CICCA and this year as well on the Plaza Ana, on open air and for free, every night at 21.30h. Furthermore a special deal with the local restaurants around the corner has been made, offering special "movie-menus" for only 8€ per person.
Do not miss out on this big event, since lots of international movies will be shown, from the U.S., England, Ireland, Japan, Germany, etc.
Further information + the whole programm can be found here.
Enjoy!!
