Things to see on Fuerteventura: Museum of Salt

The Museum of the Salt is situated 2 km from Caleta de Fuste, in the small fishing village of Salinas del Carmen, aprox 60km from the FARO JANDA HOTEL FUERTEVENTURA ****.

The Museum is divided in two sections: The interior one located in a modern building where it is possible to contemplate an explanatory audio-visual exhibition on the importance of the salt in the history, the Salt Industry of Canary Islands and his functioning.

The exterior area of the museum consists of a completely operative salt works, where it is possible to see how the salt is produced, from the reception of the sea water up to the securing for evaporation of the final product.

The museum completes his facilities with a bar and a shop where you can acquire salt and souvenirs of the museum. The entry to the museum is 5€ per adult.
